**Jackdate** More 3D assets

Car1

Just unwrapped the main body of the car, am currently working with Jack over Skype to get the rest of it done and textured.

So relating to this list of items that need building I've done a quick breakdown, this isn't all the rooms but it's a start, I didn't want to dump everything onto people at once.

Craig, as soon as you're done with the character modelling, or in the meanwhile there are these simple assets for you.

Aunt animation

I have been playing around with the walk cycle for the aunty, my current progress is saved in my folder on dropbox, called Animation.

I will be using the model as a reference and recreating it, due to the skin tears and a few other problems.

I am also working on the evil demon model and animations, I've only got a basic block out at the moment but I should have something more substantial over the next few days.

**Jackdate** - Room Textures

Couple basic UVW textures for rooms, without much detail at moment to see how they look on the rooms.





Finished Car!! (more or less...) annnnnd a box


It's at a point where you can clearly tell it's a car, so some time this week (hopefully with the help of Katie) it'll be unwrapped and ready for Jack to texture. Will most likely be further worked into at a later date but for the time being this needed to be sped along so that other more important objects could be made.






I take no credit for the colours on this thing, they go entirely to Katie ;P
Also, a box containing well, a few other boxes, maps/posters/charts etc and books ouo
And if all goes to plan, I'll be making a few more boxes, fixing the lamp shade and 
a good ol' dining table this week :9

Second Menu

So I had a bit of trouble getting the clip I made of this one to render with audio that wasn't all cut up so I figure I'll put in a screenshot with a quick explanation instead.


So this menu will most likely be a short list of controls, or a screen for credits. To make it a little more visually interesting there's the fishbowl on the right of the screen, with an animation on the fish so that as you open the screen the fish dies and floats to the top of the bowl and bobs around.

there's another menu screen i've made, most likely for a list of controls, but i'm having a little trouble editing that clip so it will come up later x video looks a little dark but it only looks that way on 

Jack update

So started the storyboard but taking awhile because be picky, think may just try drawing really fast and not worry about colour. Go for just rough figures and stuff and also not worry about text. So probably going start over.


Also created a couple requested textures: some wallpaper tiles, fish bowl pebbles with normal, also a tempted to make a dirt glass alpha for the fish bowl that didn't go as well need get some advice from Steve B and also quick UVW texture for a wardrobe. Also been trying out 'CrazyBump' normal creation over 'NormalMaprr'.

Update



So the house is pretty much boxed out, with spaces for windows, which is a make a few variations then a copy paste job, the roof is simple enough, basic stairs are also in. It's about ready to plop into unity as a placeholder which can be updated as we go along.

Have made http://www.eatergame.co.uk/ but it won't be up and running for a few days. I have an incoming list of assets to be made incoming but until then I expect...

I'm going to make that menu screen I made a bit better and have it so the links highlight on hover and take the player to the correct scenes. I have been thinking about outsourcing the rest of the house (which would be the skirting board and roof and railings etc) to my brother, but I'll talk to Tanguy about it first. It's not a lot of work, and it won't be anything complex that we couldn't do without the time, but generally, with the jobs we have I don't think there is the time. All we would need to do is have his name in the credits.
